
Dr Zainab Abdulazeez – Women’s Health Specialist
MBChB, MRCOG1 (UK), Diploma of Women’s Health (RCPI Ireland), Master’s Degree in Women’s Health (UNSW)
Dr Zainab received her MBChB degree in Baghdad in 1996 and has extensive expertise in women’s health, including family planning and contraception, infertility treatment and ovulation induction, antenatal and postnatal care, STI screening, and menopause-related concerns.
She previously worked as an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist at Al-Ain Hospital and Al-Ain Cromwell Hospital in the UAE for over 8 years, where she gained valuable experience managing a wide range of women’s health and antenatal conditions.
Dr Zainab also operates an advanced wireless portable ultrasound device (VScan), allowing point-of-care assessment and management for a variety of obstetric and gynaecological conditions. Her special interests include:
- IUD (Mirena, Kyleena, IUCD) insertion and removal
- Implanon insertion and removal
- Antenatal care throughout all stages of pregnancy
- Ovulation tracking and infertility follow-up
- Measurement of endometrial thickness in menopausal women with abnormal bleeding
- Checking intrauterine device (IUD) placement
- Detection of uterine fibroids and other uterine conditions
- Detection and monitoring of PCOS, ovarian cysts, and related conditions
- Postpartum assessment following both normal delivery and caesarean section
Dr Zainab approaches patient care with empathy, professionalism, and a strong commitment to supporting women’s long-term health and wellbeing.
Having recently relocated to Melbourne with her family, Dr Zainab is excited to support and care for the local community. She speaks both English and Arabic and is currently accepting new patients.
